Mediterranean sailings depart from Barcelona or Rome (Civitavecchia), while Caribbean sailings depart from Fort Lauderdale. Flights are not automatically included in the cruise fare; depending on your package, flights from Istanbul and port transfers can be added. Our advisor will clearly outline suitable flights, baggage allowances and any necessary hotel stays for your sailing date.
Short answer: No. Your cruise fare covers a large part of your vacation. Standard inclusions are:
- Accommodation in your selected stateroom, daily housekeeping, a private bathroom, TV, safe and air conditioning
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Main Dining Room and at the Windjammer buffet
- Cafés, snack spots and quick-service venues labeled “complimentary” on board
- Water, tea, brewed coffee and selected juices at service stations
- Royal Theater productions, ice and AquaTheater shows, live music and outdoor movies
- Pools, whirlpools, Category 6 Waterpark, FlowRider, the rock climbing wall and mini golf
- Sports courts, competitions, trivia, karaoke, themed parties and the fitness center
- Adventure Ocean kids' program and age-group activities for children and teenagers
- The daily planner, ship maps and guest-to-guest messaging in the Royal Caribbean app
- Admission to Royal Caribbean private destinations such as Perfect Day at CocoCay when included in your itinerary

Yes. You'll find the family-focused Surfside neighborhood, age-specific kids' and teens' clubs, Splashaway Bay, a water park, carousel and family-friendly dining. Some activities may have age or height restrictions. Share your children's ages and we'll help you plan the right stateroom, dining arrangement and onboard programs.
Fill your day with as much or as little as you like, choosing from the water park, pools, sports venues, live music, Broadway-style shows and distinctive neighborhoods. For a quieter day, stroll through Central Park, unwind in ocean-view spaces or explore the city on port days. Nothing is compulsory; you set the pace.
Large, modern cruise ships have stabilizers that reduce motion, although you may still feel movement depending on the weather and sea conditions. If you're sensitive, a stateroom low down and near the middle of the ship is generally more comfortable. You can consult your doctor before traveling and bring any medication you use; our advisor can help you choose a stateroom.
The Main Dining Room, buffet and specialty dining venues offer familiar choices such as grilled dishes, pasta, pizza, seafood, salads and kids' menus; the Main Dining Room menu changes nightly. Be sure to mention vegetarian preferences, allergies or special dietary needs when booking so the ship's team can be informed in advance.
The number of installments, eligible cards and bank promotions may vary according to the booking date.
